About This Conference

We’re entering a new era in Church history. The culture we find ourselves in is becoming noticeably less accepting of Christian teachings and values. Our youth are ill equipped to counter the barrage of worldly criticism. Unaware that the evidence is on their side, they are falling away. Parents, teachers and even pastors are hard pressed to account for the hope they have in Christ in a persuasive and confident manner. It’s time to engage: to learn to proclaim and defend the great truths of Christianity and to demolish false pretenses raised up against the knowledge of God with gentleness and respect. Workers needing not to be ashamed, we have reasons to believe. Find out what they are.

Conference Schedule:

J Warner Wallace
Cold Case Resurrection
Why should we believe that Jesus truly rose from the dead? Aren’t there other more reasonable explanations? In this presentation, Jim examines abductive reasoning and provides a template for examining the Resurrection of Jesus. This session will examine the competing explanations for the resurrection and provide guidelines for inferring to the most reasonable conclusion. Participants will develop a proper understanding of the difference between possible and reasonable as they embrace important critical thinking skills.

8:30PM

Frank Turek
Stealing From God: Why Atheists Need God to make their Case.
Atheists steal reason, evidence, science, and other arguments from God in trying to make their case for atheism. If that sounds contradictory, it’s because it is! Atheists can’t make their case without appealing to realities only theism can explain. Dr. Turek will expose the intellectual crimes atheists are committing and provide four powerful reasons for why Christianity is true.

Speakers

TurekFrank Turek is the author or coauthor of four books: Stealing from God:  Why Atheists Need God to make their Case, I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist, Correct, Not Politically Correct and Legislating Morality. As the President of CrossExamined.org, Frank presents powerful and entertaining evidence for Christianity at churches, high schools and at secular college campuses that often begin hostile to his message. He has also debated several prominent atheists including Christopher Hitchens and David Silverman, president of American Atheists.

J. Warner WallaceJ. Warner Wallace is a cold-case homicide detective, adjunct professor of apologetics at Biola University, Christian case maker and author. J. Warner was a conscientious and vocal atheist through his undergraduate and graduate work in Design and Architecture (CSULB and UCLA); he always considered himself to be an “evidentialist”. His experience in law enforcement only served to strengthen his conviction that truth is tied directly to evidence. But at the age of thirty-five, J. Warner took a serious and expansive look at the evidence for the Christian Worldview and determined that Christianity was demonstrably true. After becoming a Christ follower in 1996, Jim continued to take an evidential approach to truth as he examined the Christian worldview. He eventually earned a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.

benBen LaCorte teaches on apologetics and worldview at Colonial Baptist Church and is the founder and president of WordTrax.com. WordTrax is a Christian ministry dedicated to engaging the unbelieving culture in a winsome non-confrontational manner while not compromising truth. Ben’s passion is to teach Gospel believers how to defend their faith in an ever more hostile environment, and show non-believers that it’s safe to question what they’ve been programmed to believe all their lives and now take for granted as truth.
